Veterinary Surgery Course - 2012 Training Program for Veterinarians
Basic soft-tissue surgery - Theory and practical case oriented demonstrations in the mornings - Surgical practicals in the afternoons.

  • Basic techniques in abdominal and gastro-intestinal surgery
  • Laboratory: gastrotomy, gastrorraphy, gastropexy, enterotomy, enterectomy, enterorraphy, Jejuno-colic, clorectal anastomosis
  • Clinical cases

    2. Urinary tract surgery
  • Basic techniques in urinary tract surgery
  • Laboratory: cystotomy, cystorraphy, urethrotomy, hydropulsion techniques, nephrectomy
  • Clinical Cases

    3. Skin reconstruction surgery
  • Basic techniques in reconstructive surgery
  • Laboratory: the H plasty, the axillary flap, distant flap, caudal superficial epigastric
  • Clinical Cases

    4. Live training / Feeding tube techniques
  • Biopsy techniques, spleen removal, uses of omentum in surgery
  • Anesthesia and pain management of the abdominal patient
  • Laboratory: mini-invasive lab, the fast splenectomy, omentalisation, rehearsal of previous techniques
