Overview: This course is designed for veterinarians who have already attended the first course or wish to broaden their knowledge and level of competency in Neurology. This intensive training is mainly structured on problem solving teaching and case based oriented learning. The morning sessions will include lectures/presentations on various topics such as inflammatory/ infectious diseases , seizures and epilepsy, trauma, LMN disease, genetic disorders of the CNS. The afternoon sessions will focus on problem based solving of neurological diseases performed in small groups. At the end of this course, the attending veterinarians will be able to possess the level of competency necessary to solve most of the problems in daily practice.
TOPICS
Problem oriented approach (POA) in working up neurological cases: additional diagnostic tools.
• Principles of the neurological examination and localisation including
Blood work-up: Theory and practical applications
CSF analysis: Theory and practical applications

• Myelography and CT / MRI: Theory and practical applications
