 Hill, Peter, Dr. (Veterinary Specialist Centre, Sydney, Australia)
Peter Hill graduated from the University of Liverpool in 1986 and spent five years in small animal practice before undertaking a residency in veterinary dermatology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In 1993, he returned to the UK and completed a PhD on mast cell biology at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, University of Edinburgh. He is currently a Senior Lecturer in veterinary dermatology at Edinburgh, combining clinical and teaching responsibilities with an active research programme. His main interest is the pathogenesis of allergic skin disease, including the interaction of cutaneous microorganisms with the immune system. Dr. Hill holds the RCVS Diploma in Veterinary Dermatology and is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology. He is the author of over 40 scientific publications and has written the textbook `Small Animal Dermatology: A Practical guide to the Diagnosis and Management of Skin Diseases in Dogs and Cats.`
