OVERVIEW

The intensive course on exotic medicine, which is held in Avian and Exotic Animal Clinic Brno, is an advanced training programme for those who wish to broaden their knowledge of medicine and surgery of exotic animals (reptiles, pet birds, small mammals) under supervision of diplomats of the European College of Zoological Medicine. The course is practical with major emphasis on new methods-oriented and problem-solving approaches. The course consists of three days of the lectures, seminars and wet labs - intensive practical training all steps under direct supervision of the course lecturers. This modern training programme (using mostly live animals) covers all important methods used for diagnostic imaging including the recent advances in computed tomography. The morning sessions will include lectures dealing with the most important diseases of exotic animals and the role of diagnostic imaging methods. You will do yourself analysis of laboratory results to make the good diagnostic steps. The afternoon sessions will be organised as wetlabs focusing on practical training, all steps will be done under the supervision of the course masters. This form of intensive training programme covers all important imaging methods used for practical examination, diagnosis and treatment of exotic pets.
